House fire under investigation after two people injured

Firefighters responded to the scene of a reported house fire associated with an explosion in Portsmouth on Sunday afternoon, according to the Portsmouth Fire Department.

Firefighters say they received the report of the fire just after 2:15 p.m. on Sunday at a residence on Circle Drive in Portsmouth.

Once on scene, they say they saw a home with heavy damage consistent with an explosion and signs of fire within the home.
