'Like a bomb': Explosion levels Ohio home; blast felt for miles

Witnesses told Nexstar's WJW that the sound of an explosion at a Canton, Ohio residence woke them up shortly before 4 a.m. on Thursday.


Canton Fire Division Chief Steve Henderson tells WJW that the explosion could be felt 2 miles away. Canton Fire released video of the moment it happened.


"It was a big boom like a bomb or missile was going off," said neighbor Victor Howell, who shared video of the scene. "It actually shattered some of my neighbor's windows even and shook my whole house."
