Seriously injured husband files lawsuit blaming Nicor Gas for house explosion fire that killed wife in Wonder Lake

The complaint says that Patnaude, 76, and his wife, Sandra Patnaude, 59, lived at a house in the 7400 block of Birch Drive in Wonder Lake.


Nicor Gas delivered, maintained and managed natural gas service to their property.


A natural gas leak occurred and led to an explosion at the home on May 17, causing Sandra Patnaude’s death, the complaint said.
